Yellow fever, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, tick-borne encephalitis, meningitis ACWY, hepatitis B for travel, chikungunya and dengue are private. We'll tell you at your assessment if anything you need is free elsewhere.
Can I get a yellow fever vaccination and certificate in Doncaster?

Yes. We are a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. The International Certificate of Vaccination is issued at your appointment and becomes valid ten days after the vaccine, so book at least two weeks before you travel to a country that requires it.

Both branches offer the full travel clinic. Hyde Park Pharmacy on Carr House Road is closest to Doncaster town centre and opens Monday to Friday. Askern Pharmacy on Church Street also opens on Saturday mornings if you need a weekend appointment.
What should I bring to my appointment?

Your itinerary (countries, dates and the kind of trip), any previous vaccination records or certificates, a list of your current medicines, and details of any allergies or medical conditions. If you're travelling with children, bring their red book if you have it.
Do you provide malaria tablets?

Yes. Antimalarials are prescription-only medicines, so we can't advertise specific products or prices here, but the right option for your destination and medical history is discussed and supplied privately after your assessment.
Are travel vaccines safe, and what are the side effects?

All the vaccines we use are licensed in the UK. The most common side effects are a sore arm, mild tiredness or a headache for a day or two. Your pharmacist will go through anything specific to the vaccines you're having and check for any reasons a particular vaccine wouldn't be suitable for you.
Can children have travel vaccinations at the pharmacy?

Many travel vaccines can be given to children at the pharmacy; minimum ages vary by vaccine. Tell us your children's ages when you book and we'll confirm what we can provide and whether anything needs to go through your GP instead.
